MBANK is the brand of OJSC Commercial Bank KYRGYZSTAN. It issues Visa cards and serves non-residents including Russian citizens. The card works in App Store, Google Play, Netflix, Spotify, hotel and flight bookings, and most international SaaS subscriptions.

What is needed to open

• international Russian passport;
• internal Russian passport;
• either a personal trip to Bishkek or a notarised POA for a local representative;
• proof of residential address.

Your Russian-side duties

1. notify FNS within 30 days of opening (form KND 1120101);
2. file the annual movement-of-funds report if turnover exceeds 600,000 RUB;
3. comply with articles 9 and 12 of Federal Law 173-FZ on currency regulation.

Rough budget excluding travel: 10,000 RUB consultation, 2,000–3,000 RUB notary POA, 3,000–5,000 RUB annual card fee, 1,000–3,000 RUB for occasional SWIFT transfers. 16,000–21,000 RUB for the first year.
